
These are important clinical encounters, may be difficult to audit
and yet good practice is essential to achieve and maintain.
Stress is an increasingly common
presentation of ill-health in occupational health practice. The evidence
base for auditing the process of managing workers presenting with stress
is not as good as it is for back pain. However there
is probably an adequate consensus for a number of items to be included
in the proces of a good practice consultation.

Audit of consultations is only part of the audit that may be relevant
